Willie Nelson’s 90th Birthday Concert Album Set for Release

Legacy Recordings, a Sony Music Entertainment division, is set to release an extraordinary live album titled Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90 Live At The Hollywood Bowl on December 15th, 2023. This record, produced by Blackbird Presents, captures the essence of Willie Nelson‘s landmark 90th birthday concert from earlier this year.

The digital edition of Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90 Live At The Hollywood Bowl boasts 52 performances, including 13 exclusive digital-only bonus tracks. The deluxe edition includes three hours of video performances, 39 audio tracks, and a multi-page booklet. Selected highlights will also be available on 2xLP vinyl. 2023 has been a stellar year for Nelson. Following the release of two new studio albums, I Don’t Know a Thing About Love and Bluegrass, he continues to leave his mark on the music world. His album Bluegrass debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart and received a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album.

Adding to his accolades, Nelson was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year, underscoring his influential career. The Induction Ceremony will be broadcast on ABC on January 1, 2024. Alongside his musical successes of 2023, Nelson also partnered with Live Nation to launch “On The Road Again“. A new program created to support developing artists and the integral teams that support them.

Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90 Live At The Hollywood Bowl serves as a celebration of an iconic artist’s legacy. The concert features performances by renowned artists like Allison Russell, Beck, Billy Strings, Sheryl Crow, and many more, alongside Nelson himself. CBS will air “Willie Nelson 90th Birthday Celebration” on December 17th, 2023.
