Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival Returns To MASS MoCA In June 2024

The highly anticipated Solid Sound Festival, curated by the iconic band Wilco, is set to make its triumphant return to the MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts. Scheduled for June 28th to 30th, 2024, the festival promises a smorgasbord of musical delights, ranging from rock and jazz to indie and hip hop.

Speaking about the unique festival offerings, the Solid Sound Festival press release mentioned, “From live falconry, stargazing workshops, and ax-throwing, Solid Sound aims to delight the curious.” The festival will also incorporate the expansive contemporary art galleries of MASS MoCA, which showcase long-term installations from acclaimed artists such as James Turrell, Laurie Anderson, Sol LeWitt, Jenny Holzer, and Anselm Kiefer.

The festival’s birth in 2010 came from the combined efforts of Wilco and Higher Ground Presents. The 2024 iteration will continue the tradition with Wilco both hosting and headlining the event. Attendees can look forward to a carefully curated lineup, featuring various independent projects from band members. In keeping with the festival’s reputation, attendees can also expect a fully programmed comedy stage, local food, craft beer, cider, and family activities exemplifying The Berkshires’ spirit.

Tickets go on sale on November 3rd, with early bird 3-day passes priced at $249 for adults and $69 for children between 6-12 years. Children under 5 get free entry. Exclusive ticket packages, including lodging options at boutique hotels like TOURISTS and the recently inaugurated Williams Inn, are also on offer.

For those loyal Wilco fans, “Friend of the Festival” pass will also be available for $499. This pass comes with perks, such as a private lounge inside the museum, a special artist pop-up performance, signed memorabilia by Jeff Tweedy and Wilco, a limited edition 10″ EP release by Cate Le Bon, and much more.
