Omni Announces New Album “Souvenir” With North American Tour

On February 16th, 2024, the Atlanta-based post-punk band Omni will release of their fourth studio album Souvenir via Sub Pop Records. Their latest offering will be accessible globally across various formats, including CD, vinyl, and digital streaming platforms.

Omni, comprised of guitarist Frankie Broyles, vocalist and bassist Philip Frobos, and drummer Chris Yonker, presents an album marked by their signature driving riffs, snappy beats, and taut melodies. Each track on Souvenir stands alone, capturing the essence of the time and place of its creation.

The band has also unveiled an official music video for “Exacto,” the lead single and opening track from the upcoming album. The video, a collaborative conception by Broyles, Yonker, and director Zach Pyles, is as much a statement as the song itself. Omni describes the inception of “Exacto” with a vivid backdrop, “Exacto was born from a fruitful writing session one night at our main getaway in Vienna, GA. The power in the guitar leads and rhythm were immediately conjured. Lyrics and melodies were written in the back of a van in Sacramento, thinking of being left on the shelf, imagining the odd things people do for attention from people they love and strangers alike.”

The visual component of “Exacto” is equally daring, featuring a real television plummeting from an Atlanta parking deck—a guerrilla-style filmmaking feat that, while unauthorized, thankfully resulted in no injuries.

In celebration of Souvenir, Omni has mapped out a series of headline shows across the North American East Coast. The tour is set to kick off on February 24th, 2024, in their hometown of Atlanta, GA, at The EARL, and will weave through major cities including Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA, and Montreal, QC, before concluding in New Orleans, LA, at Gasa Gasa on March 15th. Tickets will go on sale Friday (November 10th, 2023).
