Jung Kook of BTS Announces New Solo Debut Album “GOLDEN”

K-pop sensation and BTS member, Jung Kook, is stepping into the limelight with his debut solo album, GOLDEN, out November 3rd, 2023, via Big Hit Music. This announcement comes as the latest milestone in the illustrious career of the youngest member of the GRAMMY-nominated septet.

Over the years, Jung Kook has carved out a distinct niche for himself with memorable tracks like “Euphoria” (2018) and “Still With You” (2020), not to mention his collaborations with renowned artists such as Latto and Charlie Puth. Beyond his musical endeavors, the singer has also entered into the fashion world, most notably with a recent Calvin Klein campaign.

One of the highlights of GOLDEN is Jung Kook‘s recent collaboration with Jack Harlow, a pop track with melodies reminiscent of the early 2000s boy bands. The album will serve as a beacon of excitement for BTS fans, especially as the band is currently on hiatus due to South Korea’s mandatory military service.

The title GOLDEN pays homage to Jung Kook‘s nickname, “Golden Maknae,” which translates to “golden youngest” in Korean. Coined by BTS bandmate RM, the title encapsulates Jung Kook‘s role as the cherished youngest member of the group. According to a recent press release by Big Hit Music, the album encapsulates the “golden moments of Jung Kook both as a member of BTS and a solo artist.

While the complete tracklist is still shrouded in anticipation, we know it will comprise 11 tracks and features hits like “Seven”, which features a collaboration with Latto, and “3D”, featuring Jack Harlow.
