Big Thief’s Buck Meek Announces North American Solo Tour Dates
Buck Meek, best known as Big Thief‘s guitarist, is embarking on a solo North American tour in support of his recent summer album, Haunted Mountain, which was released via 4AD. Alongside this announcement, Meek is pleased to share his eTown Solar Session Series, presenting a stripped-down performance of his standout tracks (“Haunted Mountain,” “Didn’t Know You Then,” and “Paradise”).
For Buck Meek‘s eTown Solar Session Series, the session, captured at Boulder’s solar-powered eTown Hall studio, offers a sneak peek into Meek’s upcoming tour with a full band. Meek‘s tour kicks off with a performance at New York City’s Racket, on October 27th, 2023, followed by a series of dates across Asia. His tour will then see him return to North America performing in major cities including Los Angeles, Seattle, and Denver, with newly added stops in Chicago, Nashville, and Washington, DC. Tickets go live on Friday, October 13th at 10 am EST.

The recently launched Haunted Mountain, produced by the band’s own Mat Davidson (Twain), was crafted with a deep reverence for the music-making process. Recorded and mixed by Adrian Olsen in a distraction-free studio environment, the album showcases the consistent collaboration between Meek and his long-standing band members, Adam Brisbin, Austin Vaughn, and Davidson. For the album, the band were joined by Ken Woodward on bass and Meek‘s brother, Dylan Meek, on piano and synths.
