Iconic Danish dance-pop group, AQUA, renowned for their hit “Barbie Girl,” is set to recapture hearts this fall, unveiling a new video, “Barbie Girl (Summer Tour 2023),” ahead of their eagerly-awaited US tour. The video features a compilation of footage from their recent live shows, including the sold-out headline shows at NYC’s Irving Plaza and Los Angeles’ The Belasco.

Renowned for their vibrant and playful hit, “Barbie Girl,” the band members of AQUA are thrilled about their upcoming US tour, reflecting their continued passion and devotion to their fans. The group’s tour will debut on November 12th, 2023, in Seattle, making its way across the country, painting cities with their kaleidoscopic 90s wonder and pulsating euro-dance beats, symbolizing a nostalgic return to their prime era.

AQUA‘s debut album, Aquarium, released in 1997, spawned numerous hits including “Turn Back Time,” “Doctor Jones,” and the unforgettable “Barbie Girl,” with the latter’s whimsical charm having listeners worldwide echoing “I’m a Barbie Girl in a Barbie World.” The song became an international sensation, solidifying its place in cultural history as an emblematic classic of its era.

The band’s success is evidenced by the remarkable 38 million albums and 7 million singles they have sold, their “Barbie Girl” music video amassed over a billion views on YouTube, and even marked its territory on Instagram Reels. Their recent revival comes following the success of Barbie World, a song by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice for Barbie: The Album, where AQUA‘s “Barbie Girl” was heavily sampled.
