Jonah Kagen Shares Soul-Stirring New Single “The Roads”
The Savannah-born singer-songwriter Jonah Kagen has released his latest single and accompanying music video, “The Roads,” via Arista Records. The single was crafted with additional production by Ryan Hadlock, known for his work with The Lumineers, Brandi Carlile, Vance Joy, and Zach Bryan.
Kagen‘s single starts with a gentle acoustic guitar melody and his distinctive, potent, vocals, gradually escalating to a vigorous folk-rock track. His evocative lyrics encompass an intense sense of nostalgia and depict the emotional complexity of pivotal life moments.
In Kagen‘s words, “‘The Roads’ is one of those songs I feel like I’ve been working toward for so long. It’s the culmination of so much heartbreak, so much growing up, and so much learning. Some of my favorite lyrics and sounds I’ve ever created are in this song, and I think the story speaks for itself—I hope you can feel the years of emotion and human experience pouring out in it.”
Following his European tour with Anson Seabra, Kagen traveled to The Cotswolds, a beautiful region of Southern England, to film “The Roads” music video. The video was directed by David Od (Coin, Noah Kahan).
