Atreyu Announce New EP “The Moment You Find Your Flame”
Atreyu has announced their latest EP, The Moment You Find Your Flame, is due for release on August 18th, 2023, via Spinefarm. This marks the final EP chapter of the series until their album, The Beautiful Dark Of Life, is released later this year. To celebrate the new EP announcement, the band also gave fans a sneak peek of what’s to come with the single, “Gone.”
The EP, produced by long-time collaborator John Feldman (Goldfinger, Blink-182, The Used), follows closely on the heels of their recent work,The Hope Of A Spark. Guitarist Dan Jacobs kickstarted the project with a series of ideas, one of which turned into the lead single. The track is a rock anthem that encapsulates yearning for a lost love and self-reflection on personal failings that led to the end of the relationship. The lyric video, boasting live performance footage, is credited to Christian Lawrence and Micala Austin.

Atreyu is also priming fans for the arrival of their upcoming album, The Beautiful Dark of Life, set to be released later this year. This is part of their EP series, forming the final chapter of the Seasons of Life concept – a profound exploration of the human existence.
“We draw strength from each other and give each other the space and support to be the best, most creative person we can be,” Jacobs explains, emphasizing the camaraderie that the band shares.
Bassist and vocalist Porter McKnight adds a deeper insight into the concept of the EP, saying, “‘The Moment You Find Your Flame’ is the path you’ve set out on to recovery. You’ve followed the glimmer of hope and potential, and the way forward is beginning to reveal itself. But it is still only a little flame. It needs nurturing still.”
In the upcoming months, Atreyu is set to share stages with Iron Maiden in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver. Additionally, they will be performing at California – Is For Lovers, Rocklahoma 2023, and the Blue Ridge Rock Festival.
