M83 Announces 2023 North American Tour Dates

Following the success of his recent sold-out North American tour, Anthony Gonzalez, also known as M83, is excited to announce another run of tour dates in North America starting in October 2023. The tour will include a show at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles and an appearance at the Austin City Limits festival. Pre-sale for tickets will begin on Wednesday, May 24th, and general on-sale will start on Thursday, May 25th. Check out the full list of dates below.

Gonzalez’s latest album, Fantasy, showcases his vision and aesthetic direction. He aimed to create a record that would have a powerful impact in live performances, reminiscent of the energy found in his album Before The Dawn Heals Us. This new release emphasizes the combination of guitars and synths, which has always been present in his music but takes on a more prominent role in this album.

In addition to exploring new sonic landscapes, Gonzalez sought to be more present lyrically and vocally, pushing himself to create a more personal album than his previous works. Fantasy, M83‘s ninth studio album, serves as an alternate world crafted by Gonzalez as an escape from the disconnected reality of today.

With a blend of expansiveness and intimacy, Gonzalez creates a juxtaposition between the unattainable and the omnipresent, evoking a profound sense of aliveness within the listener’s heart.
