Gogol Bordello & Friends Release Collaborative Single “United Strike Back” for Kind Deeds Charity

In a noteworthy announcement today, international punk band Gogol Bordello & friends, led by Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz, unveiled their latest collaborative single titled “United Strike Back.” Released on Hütz’s own label, Casa Gogol, the track features an impressive lineup of punk and hardcore heavy hitters, including Tre Cool (Green Day), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Joe Lally (Fugazi, The Messthetics), Roger Miret (Agnostic Front), Monte Pittman (Ministry), Sasha (Kazka), and Puzzled Panther. The purpose behind the release is to support a charitable cause.

With “United Strike Back,” Gogol Bordello & friends deliver a powerful punk anthem that rallies against imperialism and dictatorship. The song serves as a unifying call, emphasizing the strength of united people in their fight for freedom. Hütz expressed his gratitude for the collaboration, stating, “Here, living legends of punk and hardcore who always meant so much to me, come together to show their much needed support for Ukrainian freedom fighters.”

All proceeds from the single will be directed to Kind Deeds, an organization dedicated to helping wounded Ukrainian defenders regain mobility through prosthetics. By contributing to this cause, Gogol Bordello & friends aim to make a meaningful impact and assist those affected by the ongoing conflict.

The release of “United Strike Back” precedes Gogol Bordello‘s upcoming North American Summer Tour. Additionally, the band’s story will be featured in the world premiere of the VICE News original film, “Scream of My Blood: A Gogol Bordello Story,” set to take place at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13th, 2023. Executive Produced by Liev Schreiber, the documentary delves into Eugene’s journey from the Kyiv underground scene to New York City, highlighting his recent transformative trip to Ukraine following the Russian invasion.
