Welshly Arms Share Third Album, “Wasted Words & Bad Decisions”

Cleveland-based alternative soul band Welshly Arms has released their highly-anticipated third studio album, Wasted Words & Bad Decisions. The album is now available on all streaming platforms worldwide through Position Music and Universal Music Germany (UMG).

The album, Wasted Words & Bad Decisions, was recorded during the pandemic lockdown in an old farmhouse on the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio, which provided the platinum-selling five-piece band a welcome respite from the grueling demands of touring stateside and overseas. Welshly Arms aimed to bring back the raw rock-n-roll that they had built the band on when they were jamming in the basement together, while also showcasing their growth and maturity as musicians after touring the world together.

The album features a new special bonus digital track called “World Is Watching,” which is set to become a fan-favorite. Wasted Words & Bad Decisions follows the success of their 2017 hit single “Legendary,” which has since gone on to achieve RIAA-Platinum certifications in Germany and Switzerland. Their 2018 album No Place is Home has garnered over 350 million total streams.

The band injects a powerful dose of emotion that continues to leave the Welshly Arms’ faithful enamored. “These songs speak to who we all are in this exact moment of our lives,” said Sam Getz, the band’s vocalist/guitarist. “Musically, we wanted this record to bring us back to the raw rock-n-roll that we had built the band on when we were jamming in the basement together. But, of course, we’ve also matured and gelled as musicians after touring the world together, and I think that intersection is what made “Wasted Words & Bad Decisions” so fun and rewarding to create.” 

The album’s release comes after a long pause in touring and live performances due to the pandemic, allowing Welshly Arms to reflect and refocus on their music. The band plans to come back stateside and play select festivals and gig dates in the USA, including Boston Calling, Denver Day of Rock, and the Sound of Music in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
