Kevin Morby Announces “More Photographs (A Continuum)” Album

Acclaimed folk songwriter Kevin Morby has announced the release of his new album More Photographs (A Continuum) on May 26th, 2023, via Dead Oceans.

Serving as a companion piece to his previous album This Is A Photograph, which garnered widespread acclaim for its vulnerable songwriting, More Photographs (A Continuum) features nine tracks that offer a fresh perspective on familiar themes. Morby has also shared two tracks, “This Is A Photograph II” and “Five Easy Pieces Revisited,” in celebration of the announcement.

Described by Morby as a continuation of the artistic journey he started with This Is A Photograph, the album promises to be a rich and imaginative exploration of life, time, and mortality through his signature poetic lyrics and captivating melodies. The album includes three re-imaginings of previous tracks and six new songs, showcasing Morby‘s evolving songwriting prowess and his ability to weave together different perspectives and narratives.

In addition to the album announcement, Morby has also revealed shared 2023 shows dates in the Americas. Morby will performa at Beach Road Weekend in Tisbury, MA from August 25th to 27th, and then play at Madison Theatre in Rockville Centre, NY on August 27th. He is also scheduled to perform at Wilco‘s Sky Blue Sky festival in Riviera Maya, MX on December 2nd.
