West Shares “Euro$tep” Music Video
Los Angeles-based hip-hop artist West has released the music video for his popular track “Euro$tep,” which is now available to stream on YouTube. The song has proven to be West’s most successful release to date, garnering over 14 million streams in under a year. “Euro$tep” draws on West’s artist journey, from quitting his job to pursue his dream, to starting from scratch, working hard for years with no results, being ridiculed, and people not believing in him.
According to West, “”Euro$tep” is a record that’s centered around the idea of self-belief, independence, and triumph through adversity. Sonically, it takes on the identity of an anthemic, swaggering rap song that just sounds like a club banger with booming 808’s, but the bars contain real substance and messaging like those you’d find in a J. Cole record.” The music video, directed by Peter Shin, was filmed at South Hills Country Club in Southern California and features West celebrating his self-made success after overcoming numerous obstacles.
