The Beths Share New Single, “Watching The Credits,” & Tour Dates

The Beths, the New Zealand indie rock quartet, have released their latest single “Watching The Credits” and announced a slew of US tour dates. The power pop anthem was recorded during the sessions of their 2022 album Expert In A Dying Field, and according to songwriter Elizabeth Stokes, was inspired by her habit of learning everything about movies without actually watching them.

The new single, “Watching The Credits,” boasts the band’s signature energetic guitar-pop sound and has already garnered critical acclaim. To celebrate its release, The Beths also unveiled a downsized performance of the song in a Tiny Desk Concert. The performance still maintains the band’s thrilling energy, which has made them one of the most exciting indie rock bands to emerge in recent years. This is available to view here.

The Beths have also announced a string of new US headline tour dates, which will include stops in Denver, Los Angeles, and New York. The general on-sale for these new dates begins on March 31st, 2023. This marks additional dates for their North American touring schedule as the quartet are set to support The National and Death Cab For Cutie & The Postal Service on their respective tours.

Expert In A Dying Field, the band’s third studio album, has received widespread critical acclaim and was named one of the best releases of 2022 by Pitchfork, The Ringer, and Stereogum. The Beths have been profiled by various publications, including Rolling Stone, Document Journal, and The Big Takeover. They have also made their US television debut on CBS Saturday Morning and have already completed a nearly sold-out North American tour.
