Phoenix & Clairo Share New “After Midnight” Collaboration

French indie band Phoenix has released a new version of their Alpha Zulu hit song “After Midnight”, featuring Clairo. This marks the band’s second formal guest feature after collaborating with Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig in 2021 for their song “Tonight”.

In a statement, Phoenix expressed their admiration for Clairo, saying they have loved her since day one and were thrilled to have her sing with them. “We’ve loved Claire since day 1. What a treat it is to have her sing with us! We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do,” expressed Phoenix in a press statement. Clairo, on the other hand, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, as she has been a massive fan of Phoenix for as long as she can remember. “I’ve been a massive fan of Phoenix for as long as I can remember, and I’m very grateful that they asked me to sing on this remix.”

Clairo’s latest album, Sling, was released in 2021, while Phoenix is set to go on tour this summer with Beck across North America.
