K-pop Group IVE Announce Debut Album
K-pop group IVE has confirmed that they will be releasing their debut album in April, as announced on their official Twitter account earlier today. The tweet read, “IVE, THE 1ST ALBUM, . 2023.04.10 MON 6PM (KST). COMING SOON”.
The album news comes after South Korean media outlet Xportsnews reported last February that the girl group was set to release new music in April. Starship Entertainment, IVE’s agency, later confirmed the report to Korea JoongAng Daily.
Days before the announcement, IVE performed two new songs – “Blue Blood” and “Not Your Girl” – during their first solo concert, “The Prom Queens”, which was held on February 11th and 12th, 2023, at the Olympic Hall in Seoul. According to Korea JoongAng Daily, both tracks will be included in IVE’s upcoming debut album.

IVE is composed of former IZ*ONE members An Yu-jin and Jang Won-young, Gaeul, Liz, Rei, and Leeseo. The group made their debut in December 2021 with the single album “Eleven”. They rose to fame following the release of their hit single “Love Dive” in April 2022, which earned them the Daesang (Grand Prize) for Best Song of the Year at the 2022 Melon Music Awards. In January, IVE was named as one of the up-and-coming acts from across the globe in NME 100 List for 2023.
IVE’s first full-length album will be released several months after their third single album, “After Like,” which dropped in August 2022. The track features an interpolation of Gloria Gaynor’s iconic 1978 hit, “I Will Survive,” written by Freddie Perren and Dino Fekaris, as well as a rap verse co-written by member Rei and rapper Mad Clown.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming release of IVE’s debut album, which is set to be released on April 10th, 2023. You can find out more on their website here.
