Dilly Dally made their debut in the early 2010s, gaining recognition from indie and punk fans with their single “Candy Mountain.” The band’s unique sound and Enda Monks’ dynamic voice won them a dedicated following and helped them produce two studio albums: Sore (2015) and Heaven (2018).
In a review of Sore, Consequence commented on Monks’ voice, saying, “Monks has one hell of a snarl, and hearing her rattle it like so many rusty chains draws Dilly Dally’s debut out of the endless background noise of ‘90s revivalists and into a space where it can thrash around and feel alive.”
The band thanked their fans and extended DD family in the Instagram post, acknowledging that they could not have accomplished what they did without them. While it is uncertain what the members of Dilly Dally will do next, their unique sound and dynamic stage presence will be greatly missed by their dedicated fanbase.
