Aluna & TSHA Team Up For New Single, “Killing Me”
Aluna, best known for being one half of the duo AlunaGeorge, has teamed up with emerging producer TSHA for their latest single “Killing Me”. The song, released through Mad Decent, features an infectious vocal by Aluna over a disco-infused house beat with chopped up vocal samples, showcasing TSHA’s production skills. The track has already been chosen as Hottest Record of the Week by BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard.
Both Aluna and TSHA expressed excitement at working together. Aluna revealed that “it’s a catchy bop, but it’s still wonky and fresh with that distinctive originality that TSHA has us all in a choke hold” and TSHA added that it was “fun to work with someone so pro at what they do” and that they were able to step out of their current sound to make something more “housey”.

“Killing Me” follows a string of standalone singles released by Aluna since 2021. The artist has collaborated with Diplo, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Durante, and American producer MK on her previous tracks. Aluna also contributed to Skrillex’s acclaimed double album, Quest For Fire / Don’t Get Too Close, and has confirmed that she will be releasing a brand-new album later this year.
According to Aluna, her debut album Renaissance, released in 2020, represents her journey as “a black girl in an all-white British suburb back in the day” and showcases her breaking boundaries between culture, race, gender, and genre. “Killing Me” demonstrates Aluna’s ability to create fresh and original music while still giving nods to disco nostalgia, resulting in a successful collaboration with TSHA.
“Killing Me” is now available for streaming on all platforms. Fans can stay tuned for more updates and new music from Aluna in the near future. For more information on Aluna, visit her website here.
