Jacques Greene Shares Music Video For “Believe”

Jacques Greene, the Canadian electronic musician, has released his latest single and music video, “Believe,” via UK-based label LuckyMe.

“Believe” begins with an urgent vocal refrain and a driving beat, making it one of Greene’s most direct tracks to date. The accompanying video, directed by Cameron Morse, captures the energy of a Jacques Greene set, featuring all the familiar hallmarks of his signature sound. “Believe” is the artist’s first solo release since 2022’s Fantasy EP, and it follows the success of his collaborative single with Bonobo, “Fold.” Greene states that the track channels the feeling of being back in the real world with fresh energy and bright colors, just for the fun of it.

Jacques Greene has been producing music for over a decade, consistently creating music that is “about the club.” His extensive discography includes multiple EPs, singles, and two full-length albums, Feel Infinite (2017) and Dawn Chorus (2019). Over the years, his sound has evolved into an emotional haze, capturing the essence of the club atmosphere. In 2020, Greene made headlines with his release of “Promise,” which was the first single to be released with an associated NFT, staking the owner to music publishing. The following year, he released ANTH01, which features previously unreleased tracks spanning the earliest years of his career.

Apart from his own releases, Greene has explored his relationship with the club in various contexts, including remixing Radiohead and producing for Katy B, Tinashe, and touring with The xx. Greene has consistently pushed the boundaries of electronic music, cementing himself as a leading artist in the genre. With “Believe,” he continues to demonstrate his versatility and ability to create fresh and innovative music.
