Gorillaz Share Animated Video For “Silent Running”

Gorillaz, the virtual band fronted by Damon Albarn, has just premiered the animated music video for their latest single, “Silent Running”. The video, directed by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett and Emmy-nominated director Fx Goby, features Adeleye Omotayo of The Humanz Choir as a vocalist.

The video opens with Noodle, Murdoc, and Russel, who are on a mission to uncover the mystery of 2D’s disappearance. To their surprise, they find 2D tied up at an ancient shrine in Hollywood. The team quickly springs into action to rescue their bandmate, who has been strapped to a sacrificial totem and is about to be devoured by a menacing golem. The “Silent Running” video showcases Gorillaz’s signature blend of humor, suspense, and eye-catching visuals.
