Gengahr Return With New Single, “A Ladder”

Marking their first release in over two years, British indie rock band Gengahr are back with their latest single, “A Ladder”.

Talking about the new single, Gengahr frontman Felix Bushe said, “”A Ladder” is a fun, trippy little song soaked in cartoon-like imagery. Essentially it’s about the power of true love and its ability to not only change the way we feel but also the way we see and interact with the whole world around us.”

In addition to the single announcement, the band are pleased to share the music video for the track that was directed by Billy Howard Price (Puppy, Creeper) and features a creative blend of animation and live-action footage. The video opens with a cartoon girl gazing into a microscope, setting the stage for the fuzzy, experimental visuals that follow. Throughout the video, the band members are seen dressed in lab coats, delivering an electrifying performance in various unique settings.

“A Ladder” marks the band’s first single since 2021’s “Under The Skin”, which they wrote for season three of Starz’s American Gods soundtrack. Gengahr’s last studio album, Sanctuary, was released in 2020.
