Taylor Swift Shares “Lavender Haze” Music Video

Ever since the announcement of the second single from her album, Midnights, fans have been waiting patiently for the release of the music video of “Lavender Haze”. Today, Taylor Swift dropped the highly-anticipated music video that features trans model, Laith Ashley.

On Instagram, Swift captioned a post, which consists of photo stills from the video, saying “The “Lavender Haze” video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze. There is my incredible costar @laith_ashley [Laith Ashley] who I absolutely adored working with. This was the first video I wrote out of the 3 that have been released, and this one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights, like a sultry sleepless 70’s fever dream. Hope you like it 😁”

Ahead of the album release last October, Swift confirmed that “Lavender Haze” was co-written by friend Zoë Kravitz and shared how she was intrigued by the phrase after hearing it while watching Mad Men.

“It turns out that it’s a common phrase used in the ’50s where they would just describe being in love, like, you were in the lavender haze,” Swift shared. “And that meant that you were in that all-encompassing love glow, and I thought that was really beautiful.”
