Skrillex teams up with Fred again.. & Flowdan
Grammy-winning artist Skrillex has teamed up with London producer Fred again.. and grime MC Flowdan for his new track, ‘Rumble’, released on January 4th 2023.
‘Rumble’ adopts elements of grime and bass while stretching adding elements of Skrillex’s signature experimental electronic sound. At two-and-half-minutes, the song packs a punch after the peak through deep, heavy, bass notes and spices up the melody with a pitch-induced vocal bridge. Flowdan’s sinister “killers in the jungle” rings throughout the chorus that matches the attitude of his verses, which sees lyrics like “they better move up, never gonna win a Royal Rumble” and “shots gettin’ fired in a warzone”.
