Blake Rose unveils new song, “Use Me”

Taken from his forthcoming EP, You’ll Get It When You’re Older, Blake Rose returns with his first musical offering of 2023, “Use Me”.

“Use Me” marks the fifth track from Blake Rose’s upcoming release, after previously sharing hazy ballad “In Your Arms”, the playful “Dizzy”, deeply personal “Magazine”, and anthemic pop track “Demon”. The forthcoming EP is released on February 24th 2023 through AWAL Recordings.

Talking about the new single, rising Australian artist Rose explains,“On the surface level, ‘Use Me’ is about being attracted to somebody and lust creeping into the point where you would let this person do anything to you”. He then went on to add,“You’re so obsessed you don’t care. However, upon a closer look, one might realize the song is actually about addiction, resembling the relationship between a drug and its abuser. The substance is personified.”

After supporting the likes of Dean Lewis, girl in red, Noah Kahan, Ashe, and Boys Like Girls, Rose also played two sold out headline shows in Los Angeles and New York last year. In 2023, Rose has already been confirmed to support Mimi Webb across her UK headline dates. This marks the beginning of an exciting year for the singer-songwriter.

You’ll Get It When You’re Older will serve as the follow up to Rose‘s debut EP, A World Gone By, which was released in 2021. You can pre-order or pre-save the record here.
