Fever Ray Announces 2023 World Tour

Fever Ray is back! Fever Ray announces the There’s No Place I’d Rather Be tour; their first tour since 2018, which includes stops in New York, Oakland, Chicago, and a slew of cities across Europe.

In November, Fever Ray aka Karin Dreijer (The Knife) returned with the triumphant single ‘What They Call Us’, their first new music in five years, followed by December’s ‘Carbon Dioxide’ release and the announcement of ‘Radical Romantics’, Fever Ray’s new album out of March 10th via Mute. Pre-order or pre-save ‘Radical Romantics’ here.

Fever Ray’s live sets are known for their incredible energy, “…a zone of life-giving vibration. It is hard not to feel invincible while Fever Ray is playing” (Pitchfork). Their return to the stage, which will see them playing music from the full Fever Ray catalog, is sure to enthrall. Full dates are listed below and tickets are on sale now.

In the world of ‘Radical Romantics’, the first new Fever Ray album since 2017’s ‘Plunge’, Dreijer presents their struggle with love, or to be precise, the myth of love. ‘Radical Romantics’ speaks to both the heart and the head, the dance floor and the bedroom. In Fever Ray’s hands, crude and familiar clay is twisted into endlessly beautiful and terrible forms that balance strength with vulnerability, anxiety with safety. Fever Ray first started on ‘Radical Romantics’ in fall 2019; working in the Stockholm studios built with brother and fellow The Knife member Olof Dreijer. Some time in mid-2020, Olof joined Dreijer in working on the album, co-producing and co-writing four songs, marking the first time the siblings have produced and written music together in eight years. Other co-producers and performers include the power duo of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails), experimental artist and producer Vessel, Portuguese DJ and producer Nídia, Johannes Berglund, and Peder Mannerfelt and Pär Grindvik’s technicolor dance project Aasthma. Long-time collaborator, Martin Falck, joins Dreijer in creating the all encompassing visual world of ‘Radical Romantics’-era Fever Ray.
